CPEX Brisbane is a diverse healthcare group comprising of dedicated doctors, dietitian and exercise physiologists that has a unique solution-based approach to lifestyle and medical issues. What was born out of a passion for peri-operative medicine is now a world class cancer care, rehabilitation, musculoskeletal, metabolic disease and female health centre of excellence.
Our team
Amy Morze
Amy Morze is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist who undertook her Master’s Degree at the University of Queensland.
Amy has a wide clinical skill set after working at the Princess Alexandra Hospital where she gained experience across all areas of the hospital including both inpatient wards and outpatient clinics including ICU and rehabilitation units. The majority of Amy’s time however was spent working in the Oncology team where she developed a passion for working in Radiation Oncology.
Amy has a love of food that was nurtured by growing up in her extended Italian family in North Queensland. She had a very active upbringing with both of her parents playing representative and social sport which became a family affair. This combination of her upbringing has led Amy to developing a passion for nutrition and health that she enjoys sharing with others.

Dr Pierre Kotze
Dr Pierre Kotze is a specialist anaesthetist. He completed his anaesthetic training in Queensland and works as a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Mater and Princes Alexandra Hospitals.
He won the Tess Cramond award for research in 2014 and presented at the Australian Scientific meeting, Singapore, 2014 as well as the Australian Society of Anaesthesia scientific meeting at Gold Cost 2014.
He studied cardiopulmonary exercise stress testing under Dr Adrian Hall where he was exposed to research on the area of perioperative risk stratification and optimisation.
His current areas of research relate to the advanced recovery for lower limb arthroplasty as well as optimisation of analgesia following Gynaecological Oncology surgery.
His area of interest is a holistic advanced recovery program, which strives to decrease the incidence of perioperative complications and decrease hospital length of stay.

Renee Trevarthen
Renee Trevarthen is and Accredited Exercise Physiologist who graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2012. Since graduating Renee has gained experience working with Medicare referrals, veterans, Type 2 Diabetes care plans and private clients.
Her passion has always been encouraging others to adopt healthy lifestyle changes that positively impact their present and future well-being. Renee is an enthusiastic and hard-working Exercise Physiologist who takes the time to understand the real issues facing a patient and ensures their goals are met. Her bubbly and empathetic personality of exercise prescription is well received by her clients, which makes every session fun and informative.
Renee has a passion for musculoskeletal and cardiovascular rehabilitation, falls prevention, weight loss, posture and core stability including back pain, women’s health and improving the quality of life for clients.
Sophie Walsh
“I believe in a whole lifestyle approach to health and wellness, and I thrive on forming relationships with my clients, and helping them to achieve their health outcomes.
I have an intrinsic and evidence-based understanding of the positive impact that good nutrition and a lifestyle approach to health has on overall levels of wellbeing. I work with patients to overcome the barriers and challenges to achieving positive dietary changes through creating an environment of trust and understanding.
My personal experience has led me to believe passionately in this approach throughout all stages of life. I provide individualized evidence based care and enjoy working with other health care providers in order to optimize health outcomes. I consider it to be a privilege to be a part of people’s journey to a healthier and happier self, with a holistic focus on their lives.
My primary areas of nutritional interest include (but certainly are not limited to):
• Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight
• Chronic diseases including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and PCOS
• Prevention, treatment of, and recovery from cancer
