CPEX Femme Doctors

Our team of doctors, Dietitians and exercise Physiologist can help with female specific health issues.

Introduction

The conditions we love to treat are pelvic floor and incontinence issues, PCOS, infertility, and Pre-and Post-natal conditioning.

The program below is designed to guide and help each individual through their unique journey. Most of our staff are busy moms and dads  – we know what you go through and know how precious your time is.

What you can expect from a typical consult:

Our Exercise Physiologist will:

  1. Take an exercise and physical activity history and perform an initial assessment to determine your health status
  2. Explain how exercise therapy will help to treat or improve your condition and improve your quality of life.
  3. Discuss your exercise and health goals, and strategies to achieve these goals.
  4. Complete a physical assessment to determine your current physical abilities to enable a program to be designed.
  5. Develop an exercise program, clinical or home based, individual or group.
  6. Provide instructions on how to complete the exercise program, including discussion regarding the role of the exercises and how to achieve good technique.
  7. Ongoing assessments to track your progress and modify your program as required

Amy Morze Accredited Dietitian

Our Dietitian will:

  1. Perform an initial assessment to identify any key nutrition related areas that may assist in improving your health status
  2. As part of the assessment we will complete a diet history and a thorough assessment of your current dietary intake in a non-threatening, non-judgmental approach. Our Dietitian uses science in an evidenced based approach to identify areas of improvement.
  3. By working with you, we will develop an intervention plan that will help you work towards your goals
  4. We will provide follow up emails and phone support as required until your review appointments
  5. First review appointment is ideally within 4-6 weeks of initial appointment, subsequent appointments are decided on between the patient and practitioner usually within 1-2 months with ongoing phone/email support. Our team members have a wide range of experience and are enthusiastic about improving your health and wellbeing.

Pre-and postnatal care:

CPEXFemme focuses on your individual pre-and postnatal exercise and nutrition to tailor a program, which is right for you. Our program is designed to help you through your pregnancy and to maximise your recovery thereafter.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS):

PCOS is very poorly understood by the general public. We specialise in metabolic issues and realise how hard it can be to struggle on your own when you don’t seem to make any headway. Education, slow and steady progress toward optimal health and learning to love your body are the key features of this program.

Pelvic floor issues and incontinence:

Too many women suffer in silence or feel that this is just a normal part of getting older. Do you have coping strategies that prevent you from embarrassing situations? It’s time to get some help! We have an evidence-based program that improves your wholebody condition, muscle tone, weight and addresses the issue of pressure – sphincter imbalance.
